Spy Science, Secret Codes & Ciphers Camp

Welcome to our special spy-themed Math Camp! Kids work their way through several math puzzles, hunting up clues, solving mysteries, identifying evidence, discovering a bit about chemistry, make field microscopes, and decoding secret codes and ciphers!

Students also to discover and build spy-themed electronics circuits, no previous experience required! Kids will build several projects including electric alarms, transistor and IC circuits, and making their own electronic detectors and sensors.

Trigonometry (Geometry Sessions 9 & 10)

After you've completed Unit 5: Geometry, we have two bonus sessions for you!

We'll start with a review of different types of angles, basic properties of triangles, and make sure you are comfortable with the concept of similar triangles with different sizes of right triangles.

Now we'll introduce the basic trigonometric functions: sine, cosine and tangent. We'll look at how you can relate angles of a right triangle with its sides, and how we can solve for unknown values easily by forming ratio relationships. You'll work on trigonometric functions and the Pythagorean Theorem in detail.
